Project Overview
Title: Young Artists Society of Skyline
Category: Youth Art Workshop
Date: June 2026
My Role: Organizer and Facilitator
The Young Artists Society of Skyline, or YASS, was created to bring casual, accessible creative opportunities directly to the heart of the neighborhood. Hosted on Sunday mornings at Skyline Park, these pop-up events took advantage of a lively local gathering space right near several neighborhood food trucks, making it easy for families to drop in and participate.
The series focused on low-stress, high-joy projects that invited members of the community to create side by side. Highlights included a fairy-themed painting day and a community tie-dye day. By bringing structured yet playful art activities into a public park, these sessions provided a welcoming environment for kids to explore their creativity while neighbors connected with one another.
